Dr. Jessica, i live in Colorado, but sadly live closer to left leaning boulder. It could have been worse I guess, though they only ended masking about a month ago. The school was open for much of 2021-22 school year, but the Covid testing requirements did get stupid. I was glad they never instituted a vax mandate, as my daughter had robust natural immunity from an asymptomatic case she had (from me ) in 2021. I was ready to fight the school on vax, but i never had to. It broke my daughter's and my heart's to see so many kids willing get the garbage vax when their parents should have known better. She would get pressure from kids to get vax (she's a proud pure blood) and would shrug these typically masked kids off. We always had a giggle when someone with vax got COVID. She made it through omicron with mild symptoms. But there are still kids who cling to masks, it's so sad watching the mental Illness unfold.
When I think about the mental illness and those suffering from the illogical use of public masking, it hurts the most seeing children affected by this lie. I am grateful for my brave pure blood readers who were able to see past the nonsense and not cave to the pressure!
