You mean, here in the good old United States of America, we conducted medical experiments on citizens without their full, informed consent??!! Said sarcastically, of course. How is it, with so much evidence that both our government and the medical profession, were willing to conduct experiments on unsuspecting citizens in the past, that we don’t recognize that this could be happening again?
In my research of what we are living through and how to help people see their way out of the tyranny, I came across President Bill Clinton offering an apology to families of American citizens who were killed during a 30 year government-sponsored radiation experiments. It was discovered that the experiments were conducted on citizen who count most on the government for their health, the destitute and the gravely ill. In addition, the military was also used as test subjects. Americans were denied informed consent, they were kept in the dark about what was being done to them. The experiments were kept secret, not because of national security but for the simple fear of embarrassment.
Here is the article that the LA Times presented in Oct 1995. This is a clip of Clinton offering an apology to those families who lost loved ones. An excerpt from the article:
Clinton also ordered a review of the procedures for government-sponsored research on humans and said he will create a bioethics advisory panel to police the research process to “see to it that never again do we stray from the basic values of protecting our people and being straight with them.”
He acknowledged that medical and scientific progress “depends upon learning about people’s responses to new medicines, to new cutting-edge treatments, . . . but there is a right way and a wrong way to do it.”
