and it is refreshing seeing people stand for the Christian faith and values.
I write mostly about my concerns with the handling of COVID protocols, the denial of early treatment and the risks of vaccination but I also hold dearly the concern of how our country is moving away from its faith foundation. I personally am guilty of watching this happen and not taking action against it. I practice dentistry in a town that feels very unwelcoming to people of faith. I have sheepishly answered questions about where my kids go to school (they go to a Christian school) when patients inquire. I have refrained from saying Merry Christmas to patients in an effort to not offend….UNTIL NOW! This year, for the first time, we put a Nativity on display at my office, we said Merry Christmas to everyone (instead of Happy Holidays) and we plan to keep a faith display for each season in 2022.
This pales in comparison to the efforts one North Carolina sheriff. He has on display his favorite Bible verse, Phillippians 4:13—I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. This scripture display was paid for through private funds and despite and atheist group demanding its removal, the sheriff is holding firm in his refusal to remove it. You can read the full story HERE.
If the Freedom from Religion Foundation thinks it can pressure Sheriff Jody Greene into scrubbing a beloved Bible verse from his office wall, Greene is telling the atheist activist group that it has sorely underestimated his resolve.
"Just look at where our society is headed," Greene wrote Monday on the Columbus County, North Carolina, Sheriff's Office Facebook page. "It is time, past time, to stand up. So let me be clear, I will not waiver [sic] on my stance and Christian beliefs."
Not only are you a conscientious caring dentist but a warrior for Jesus with eternal and not temporary results. May the Lord continue to empower you as you write inspiring and honest messages. So grateful for saints like you.
I agree 💯. We have truth on our side. There isn’t anything in the constitution that forbids Christian’s from being able to share our faith. Speak up and be bold!
Scripture implores believers to be ready to give an answer for the hope that we have within us and out of love for our neighbor we should do this.
Thanks for the encouraging words today! 😊
