When I meet a new patient, for the first few minutes of the appointment, we sit and chat about anything other than teeth. I like to get to know the person more than just as a set of chompers that visits me regularly. I want to know where they work, hear about their children and their pets and what hobbies they enjoy. It is important to me to build a relationship and as I share with them in the conversation, it is of utmost importance to me that they build a layer of trust in me and the service I provide.
If I have a new patient with a complicated treatment plan, I encourage a second opinion. I tell them that if they see 10 different dentists, they will likely get 9 different treatment plans. These plans may all be viable treatment scenarios but it is important that they fully understand their options, the risks of those options and the benefits of treatment. This is called informed consent…something NOT AT ALL being offered to patients sticking their arm out for an experimental treatment, never before been used in humans, with no long term safety studies, manufactured by one of the most corrupt industries who has been gloriously offered ZERO liability by our ‘trusted’ government officials.
Over the past two years, I have lost TRUST in so many individuals and institutions where I had formerly almost blindly trusted with minimal questioning. The first institutions were the CDC and NIH, lying about masks and manipulating the public to believe the COVID shots were safe and effective. Then it was the ADA coming out with a position that it was an ethical and a moral responsibility to deny treatment to someone who had denied receiving the experimental gene therapy. Then we had churches of major denominations telling their parishioners that the jab was a gift from God and an answer to prayer (my next Substack will cover this in more depth). Some going as far as making it a requirement to offer your arm to the pharmaceutical industry to attend church or engage in religious activities.
“One of the saddest lessons of history is this: if we’ve been bamboozled long enough, we tend to reject any evidence of the bamboozle. We’re no longer interested in finding out the truth. The bamboozle has captured us. It’s simply too painful to acknowledge, Even to ourselves, that we’ve been taken. Once you give a charlatan power over you, you almost never get it back.”― Carl Sagan, The demon-haunted world: science as a candle in the dark
It has been a tough two years, as I have jokingly said before, this experience as an adult is akin to being a child again and finding out that Santa Claus is not real. It is disturbing knowing and accepting that I have been bamboozled. And it is even more unsettling that I don’t know how to get others to wake up before they put the fifth booster of spike proteins into their bodies.
Had I watched this (2min) video when it was made years ago, I would have laughed at the possibility of this to be true:
And what this really comes down to is the fact that we are emotional beings gifted by God with the ability to think critically. We are not rational, thinking beings gifted with emotion. If that were the case, we would not be where we are today…so many choose to follow their emotions because deep thought and acceptance of the evil is too tough to swallow. This piece lays it all out in such an eloquent manner:
But trust in experts is a double-edged sword. And we have a crisis of trust… specifically, too much trust. Childlike, naive trust…..
Without the detailed recitation of the conversation and subsequent text storm back and forth, even as I presented evidence upon evidence upon evidence of the harm The Jab is doing, and multiple estimates of vast underreporting to VAERS, plus offers to share stories and pictures of individuals who have been harmed… his refusal to consider anything I sent and then his response to all this shocked me to the core – paraphrased though he specifically used the word laughable:
THE IDEA THAT THE US GOVERNMENT WOULD CONTINUE TO LET THESE VACCINES BE GIVEN IF THEY WERE THAT DANGEROUS IS LAUGHABLE.
This is a man with significantly more life experience – plus lessons in the School of Hard Knocks – than I. I was flabbergasted at this naivete. He reminded me that I’ve been “paranoid” about government since we met when I was still in graduate school… I reminded him about Ruby Ridge and Waco. (And while I didn’t go into things like the Tuskegee Experiment, or Operation Sea Spray, or the internment of Japanese Americans by the Democrats, or myriad other examples of government misdeeds just here in the US, let alone multiple governments around the world behaving badly… this is also important context to my distrust of government. Let alone the Shoah. Let alone over 100 million dead in the quest for Communism/Socialism.)
Why? Vanity again. And from my time in jail… no, seriously, I taught classes in a jail… the training on how to avoid being conned by inmates made something clear: the smarter, more intelligent, and more educated you are the more easily you can be fooled as a general rule. This was seconded by the inmates themselves in candid slips. (And in one class, showing how data and videos can be misused – they, among all the various students to whom I gave that lecture, were the quickest to pick up on the examples of deception I gave.)
We don’t want to admit we’ve been taken. Like that friend… like my sister and cousin and countless others… the vast majority would rather cling to the illusion that all is well and good rather than admit we’ve been deceived. They’d rather cling to a vision of the world as stable, and people being good, than admit that there is a dark and fetid underworld just below the surface of the serene and calm world in which they think they live. They’d rather not admit that civilization is a very thin crust over the churning caldera of chaos.
And as you go through your day and your week and so on, remember this cautionary alteration of Aragorn in the Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring:
“ARE YOU DISTRUSTFUL?… YOU’RE NOT DISTRUSTFUL ENOUGH.”
