Ron and I were talking the other evening about the madness we are living through. Trying to make sense of the insensible, trying to find ways to visualize a direction out of this mess. I explained to him that all of this has done something to me that I don't recognize. I have never been an avid reader and I HATE writing. Sure I have read for pleasure but I much prefer to be active in the form of sewing, knitting, golfing and running. Not that I don't still enjoy these past times but now I am moved and challenged to do things I used to avoid, why???
As I reflect on this and look to God for wisdom and guidance, I believe He is using my passion for helping others in a format that takes me out of my comfort zone. For a year, I sewed masks in an effort to help both the wearer and all the charities we benefitted. Selfishly, I was able to do something I loved, while also helping to protect others (sadly, now I know this was a lie). As I am being directed out of that comfort zone, I can still admit there is a selfish motive, I want to help others.
If we're to take a shot in our arm to help others 'stay safe', are we also responsible for telling them to stop smoking, to stop drinking too much, to lose weight and exercise? Where does our social responsibility end? Obesity kills more people annually and at a younger age than Sars COV-2, why aren't we bombarded daily with deaths from heart disease. Car accidents and drownings kill more children annually than COVID. Why isn't it mandated to have lifeguards in every backyard pool? Why aren't there safety checks at every stoplight to be sure kids are properly restrained?
1. It is time to return to rigorous medical debate. This is an opinion piece but it presents the center of our current crisis. Science is about discovering what we do not know. The only way to come to a consensus or agreement is to have rigorous research and debate, done so without the financial influence of Big Pharma or any other entity.

2. Dr. Pierre Kory presents his year long efforts and research on the benefits of Ivermectin and how its widespread use could end the pandemic. He discusses how Mexico has thwarted a COVID crisis in their country using Ivermectin. He uses examples from one country in South America that had different states within the country using Ivermectin and how their rate of recovery far outpaced the states not using it. There is no motivation for this effort in our country because Ivermectin is a generic drug and the pharmaceutical industry does not profit. It is interesting listening to two scientists who know far more on this topic than I ever will, trying to unpack why the nefarious activity by both Pharma and our government. My favorite quote from this podcast by Dr. Bret Weinstein..."The more skeptical I get, the more naive I am."
3. More Fauci lies, corruption and cover up....covered by the Washington Post?? The definition of Gain of Function (GoF) was written by Anthony Fauci and NIH and was crafted in a way to exclude the research he was in charge of. Then the NIH built an oversight mechanism and review board after Obama had hit the pause button on GoF. This enabled Fauci to continue his research and not be liable during the moratorium on GoF. Said more simply, he created a loophole and then he got to walk himself through the loophole to avoid conviction. If we can't figure out how this started, how do we prevent it from happening again?
4. Changes to the PCR test...shocking! Like all of us 'conspiracy theorists' said over the past 18 months, the PCR test was not developed to diagnose viral disease. Now CDC needs there to be less COVID so their shots look like they work and more flu so we will rush out for the new COVID/FLU shot to eventually be available.
5. A biblical perspective--I need to include this as part of my study and research. I personally view our current situation as one being used by God to awaken us. We've been too comfortable for too long. It is in our time of crisis that we discover and grow. As my pastor shared, "count it joy" as you live through hardship. Our nation was founded on a strong Biblical foundation. We have moved so far from the principles our founding fathers put into place. I am hopeful that the truth can bring down these tyrants, just as we have in the past.

6. A catchy tune demonstrating the passion of those who believe in medical freedom and the right to choose what we put in our body.
7. A 365 day summary of what the scientists have been saying, now all being proven true. Del Bigtree and his non-profit ICAN work tirelessly to provide research and scientific evidence so you can be informed. They then share all of the articles and studies for you to 'fact check' them. Imagine if all news outlets gave you full access to the resources they used to present news. ICAN is funded solely on donations from individuals. There are no corporate influences. Sadly, our mainstream media is heavily influenced by Big Pharma which provides 70% of their network advertising budget.

8. Natural Immunity/Free Speech--How could these two items be related? The author of this article draws the connection beautifully. There is no historical record of a positive outcome for a civilization when those in power controlled the narrative.
9. Public health research from England demonstrates that those who have taken the shot are 65% more likely to be hospitalized and 1540% more likely to die of COVID than the counterparts that have not had the shot. This article breaks down the data being collected by Public Health England. I would argue that the percentages offered are 'scarier' than the numbers used to calculate them. But it is a worthy article for reference.
10. Something positive, something to warm your heart and perhaps bring a tear to your eye. Completely unrelated to COVID!!
