I hope all viewing this post enjoyed a relaxing Fourth of July. I hope the day was full of time with family and friends. I hope you were full of gratitude for those who fought and died to create a nation of freedom, a shining city on a hill.
An early request…PLEASE SHARE this with everyone. This is a message that must be heard!
Unlike my typical writings, this one is movie review and I want to encourage you to go to the theaters to see Sound of Freedom:
Like many of you, 2020 awoke me to many crimes that I previously ignored or considered conspiracy theory. Ignoring many because the truth was too painful to admit. Of all the topics covered in Unpacking Truth, this is truly the most heinous of crimes.
It would be better to be thrown into the sea with a millstone hung around your neck than to cause one of these little ones to fall into sin. Luke 17:2
The movie is a well produced true story of the hero, Tim Ballard and his selfless act to save children from the crime of sex trafficking. It is rated PG-13: there area a couple of unsavory words, NO nudity or sex, some gunfire and many heart racing moments. We felt it appropriate for our teenage children. For them, it was a reminder of why we protect them from strangers and a moment to be grateful for the blessed life they live.
Please stay the extra two minutes after the credits to hear the words of Jim Caviezel as he makes a plea for this story to be shared far and wide. The movie was actually produced five years ago but it took them this long to bring it to market because of the roadblocks mainstream outlets presented.
The most powerful message of the entire movie:
There are more people living in slavery today than when it was historically legal. Millions of these slaves are children.
“The United States is number three for destination countries for human trafficking, number one for the consumption of child rape videos. And we are now approaching number one in the production of child exploitation material,” Ballard says.
